Time: 23:27Driving fifty miles per hour down the deserted streets of the city of Brooklyn, Tommy McKray was mounted on a solid black Ducati Scrambler with his eyes focused solely on what lie ahead. The chilling wind rushed past the black visor of his helmet as he sped toward ‘The Pit,’ Brooklyn’s largest underground fight club.Focused. Determined. Steady.Having been dishonourably discharged from the Royal Marines for losing his temper (which inevitably resulted in manslaughter) under a year ago, Tommy needed some time to clear his mind. The last thing he wanted was to return to England, especially when it meant having to face his family once more. As a result, he traveled across the pond looking for ways to use his rage to his advantage while at the same time becoming wealthy for his ‘services’.Therein lies ‘The Pit’. Through time, Tommy built a reputation at the underground fight club. To date he was undefeated. After all, failure was never an option for him.As he arrived for another late night bout, he dismounted his motorbike and removed his helmet, throwing his grey hood over his head and adjusting his black leather jacket as he walked into the building. Although the crowd praised him upon his arrival, McKray maintained a serious and deadly demeanour. Removing his hoodie and jacket, Tommy stepped into the ring as he stood opposite of a male towering over him. He put up his fists, studied his opponent’s every move, and received the victory after pinning him down and dislocating the latter’s wrist. The fight lasted a total of two minutes and thirty-six seconds.Any fight that Tommy accepted rarely ever exceeded the five minute mark. The fury was easy to channel. Tommy’s poor relationship with his father forged the fire that resides within him. Every fight, every confrontation brought him back to the days he was a young boy facing his father’s wrath. As a teen, he vowed never to back down and never to lose again. His mother was pathetic and submissive in his eyes. His brother was frail and helpless. The last time he saw his family ended in Tommy delivering a solid right cross to his father’s face, knocking him to the ground as he stormed out of the house and never turned back.Tommy grabbed his clothing and stalked out of the ring to collect his reward. That is, until he was stopped by a young male by the name of Raymond Fields who spoke of an opportunity to extend the use of his ‘talents’.The rest is history.
